Phobos & Deimos

The planet Mars has two moons: Phobos and Deimos. They were both discovered by American astonomer Asaph Hall. The moon Deimos was discovered first on August 11, 1877. The moon Phobos was discovered six days later on August 17, 1877.

DeimosIn Greek Mythology, Deimos was one of the sons of Ares (Mars) and Aphrodite(Venus). Deimos is the personification of "panic."
PhobosIn Greek Mythology, Phobos was one of the sons of Ares (Mars) and Aphrodite(Venus). Phobos is the personification of "fear".
